So, yeah the funeral was every bit as sad as you expect for a 26 year old who should have his whole life ahead of him.
Then last Tuesday my best friend's dad was crushed to death under a tractor. They did not have a good relationship, he was not a good person, and she felt about as welcome as a tick at a dog show at the hillbilly hot mess that was the funeral weekend.
Oh, and my stepson and his wife had their car repoed, so naturally they came running to the first bank of dad. The same dad who JUST paid off the $1200 fridge they put on our Lowe's card. His mom had offered them a free fridge, but apparently that isn't what they wanted..... We just found out about the free fridge and we are both pissed. So yeah.
I'm in a crappy place.

Oye, I am so sorry about all the stuff you have going on. WOW on the stepson reaching for the bank of dad. They need some money management classes or something. Sorry!
Wow you really had the week from hell. So sad on the loss of such a young man. It stinks that your friends father died with unfinished business. I give her credit for even attending the funeral. I am not so sure I could have done it. I think it might be time for your husband to stop giving his adult son money. If he doesn't he may never figure out how to make it on his own. My father did the same thing to me. At first I was angry, but now I realize what a favor he did me.
No advice to give. Just sorry for all you're going through.
