Hi, my name is N--- and I am a home improvement junkie.

Two days ago I was watching "Bathtastic!" (could I make that up?) and they re-did a bathroom where they put in a bamboo countertop just like I keep telling Hub I want AND they had a butt ugly vanity like ours which they painted and it looked totally nice. Which I would like to do with ours. (This is when we do the major remodel on the master bath which is supposedly scheduled for 2 years from now but we have most of the stuff already so why wait?).

ANYWAY. On an episode (maybe the same one but who can remember when you're watching back to back home improvement shows like an addict) they put in this great pottery sink that sent me searching the web site to find the place that made it. Which I did but it was in Minnesota or something but I found a pottery place that makes sinks that are totally reasonable. As in a handmade pottery vessel sink for $250, which I think is a very good price. Then I found some great ones made in Mexico like we saw on our trip - but they aren't very restful and neutral. Eventually I ended up at Overstock which has gobs of beautiful vessel sinks and I would have totally ordered one for the hall bath except Hub reminded me that he would have to remake the countertop (slate tile). Oh well.

I planned to go to the gym yesterday but I had a headache and Bootcamp with a headache would have meant death for someone so instead Hub and I packed Jordan into the car (and then into a cart) and went to Lowe's, where I picked up 60 bazillion paint chips to paint the bath & bedroom. All of which will likely need to be repainted before I move because it has to be neutral when we sell it.

No worries – I walked yesterday morning and at lunch so it’s not like I got no exercise. I went to the gym Monday afternoon and I have my bag packed for today as well. I loaded 2 new Cardio Coach CDs onto my MP3 player, so I’m set. Except that the elliptical I like is broken and the only other one with swinging arms only lets you go for 30 minutes (grrr).

I’ll get in a weight session Sunday (in addition to Body Sculpt tomorrow night), sp I should have 2 for the week.

Eating is on plan – another benefit to last night’s trip to Lowe’s (in addition to paint chips) is that I was out of the house and so I didn’t snack before bed. Woo hoo!
