Keeping on
Even though I slept crappy and drank one too many cups of morning coffee, yesterday was a good day. I went to the gym at lunch and did a good job of kicking my own butt (something I am not really good at). I forgot my snacks (2 string cheeses), but I had a protein shake pre workout and then a few raw almonds in the afternoon - so I improvised and didn't veer off course.
Last night I met a good friend at Zoe's Kitchen for dinner - I had chicken kebabs and double roasted vegetables. It was good and it was great to catch up - her schedule is way too hectic and we don't see each other much. So that was awesome!
I got home around 8:30 and had 3 bites of ice cream (I wasn't hungry I just wanted a taste of something). I then brushed my teeth and called it a day, knowing I had faced some common pitfalls: not having planned food available, dining out - and done a great job of navigating them.
For breakfasts this week I made myself a crustless veggie quiche which is really tasty, so that's nice to have. I made T a Thai chickpea dish that rocks and he seems to like. This is the second week in a row that I have both our breakfasts prepped and portioned out for easy reheating - it makes the morning SO much easier! Sunday when I was doing food prep I dragged out a bunch of leftovers and packaged them up into 4 lunches, so the past couple of days lunch prep has been a lot easier as well. I love it when I manage to set myself up for success!
I am getting my hair cut at lunch today so exercise will probably just be a walk around the parking lot. Tomorrow I plan to swim and hit the kettlebell gym with T in the evening.
Take care.

I did a lot of food prep this past Sunday, and that is exactly how I feel this week, like I set myself up for success. All I have to do is take out the containers from the fridge and put them into my lunch box. Everything is portioned out and ready to go. It takes time up front but is definitely worth it!
