A little down today
Good morning. So, yesterday I lifted free weights and went to water aerobics. A couple of things are bothering me, in reverse order:
1) The women's locker room is going to be closed for a month for renovations. We do have Girl's locker rooms, and 1 I've-never-seen-it-used family changing room. What this means is that moms change their little boys in the girl's locker room. As the mom of a son who was once a little boy, I understand why. I have no problem with moms changing their kids in there, I have a problem with me changing in there in front of them. Maybe this isn't a big deal, but it makes me uncomfortable.
So I have to decide whether I want to forego using the pool, hot tub, and sauna for a month or just deal.
2) I told my husband last night how much it bothers me that he doesn't eat healthy, he won't exercise, and he's overweight and has high blood pressure. I know I can't make him do anything about any of this, but it bothers me and sometimes that comes out - it did last night. I'm not sure I handled it well, I told him it was because I was concerned & didn't want him to end up the way his grandparents and mom have. I feel upset, but sometimes it has to come out, you know? Argh.
I hopped on the scale this morning and I have maintained my 2 pound loss for the week, it would be nice if a friend joined those 2. I generally do not exercise on Fridays - it is my day off. I grocery shop which takes a lot of time and leaves me feeling pretty tired. I exercise 5-6 days a week (sometimes taking Sunday off if I'm feeling especially tired).
Anyway, I'll keep eating on plan. Hub is going out of town for the day tomorrow. Mom is coming over and we are going to work on my doll house and the 3 of us are going out to eat. No idea where, but I'll find something I can eat I'm sure.
I hope you have a nice weekend!

I hope you don't have to forego your swimming etc. but at the same time I completely understand your reservation about changing in front of the children. To be honest, I've only just gotten used to standing naked in front my husband. All my life, when I've been in any situation where I needed to change clothes, I've always done so in toilet cubicle to do so.
I think you did the right thing in articulating your concerns to your husband. After all you're sharing his life and what he does affects you too. Maybe your example will eventually inspire him.
Keep up the good work with the weight loss and enjoy your time with your Mum.
I wish my husband would lose weight too. I thought he was going to join me this time but so far he hasnt. Good luck.
