Stiff upper lip!

Hello hello. I have a bit more time today. First, thank you for asking about the doggies! Someone (either Chyna or Maya) had diarrhea 2 nights in a row. The vet thinks it may be a bacterial infection. There was none last night, but we do have an antibiotic in the event it happens again. So, nothing serious other than my dining room carpet is looking pretty bad. Glad replacement begins after we get back from the beach!

We went to see the movie “Wild Hogs” yesterday – I thought it was really funny. I know the reviews have been mixed, but I enjoyed it. Of course, my taste is pretty low brow.

This morning was very frustrating – hence today’s title. After school math tutoring which was happening on Tuesdays has been cancelled. I found this out in the car this morning. While hub is out of town, mom has been picking up the boy Mon, Wed, & Thu, with me picking him up on Tuesday. Only now that means I have to leave work at 2:30. Ugh. Mom is picking him up today while we look for a solution. That’s a little early for me to leave, but I don’t want mom to have to pick him up every day either. I just loved getting that bomb dropped on me in the car on the way to school.

The boy wouldn’t get out of bed, I was feeling very rushed (and hormones are making me cranky anyway), there was the after school thing, and I forgot ‘muffins for mom’ at school this morning. I was just teary on the way in to work.

There are some good things!

For one, I did a very good job of planning my food this week. While I generally do the whole balanced meals & snacks, my sources of protein, carb, & fat vary in quality. This week I’m on the clean end of the scale, with loads of veggies & fruits, grilled chicken breast, and a successful cottage cheese experiment! I decided to make hummus and dip bell pepper in it – well, I found a hummus recipe that includes cottage cheese. It’s creamier than regular hummus and I gotta say you cannot taste the cottage cheese. Success! I also took the time last week to peruse my recipes (I have about a billion) to find some new dinner ideas.

I got up and did my cardio coach this morning. Afternoon weight lifting is just not working, so I think I’m going to hit the gym 2 mornings a week. I was doing that with hub, but with him out of town that isn’t happening. I love routine, I just can’t ever seem to find one that works more than a couple of weeks at a time!

Okay, that’s about all I know.

Hi-
Did you do a fecal test on your dog? Mine newly adopted dog was just diagnosed with whipworms. One of the symptoms is diarrhea. Other intestinal parasites could also cause diarrhea.
Anyway, just a thought! Hope she's better soon!
